More Greenie-ness...

They had their annual dyeing of the Chicago River Green for St Patrick's Day yesterday. Apparently the whole city decided to celebrate the holiday yesterday, an entire week early. Why does Chicago always have to celebrate holiday's on dates other than when they happen? I never understood.

I didn't have a chance to go there and take a bunch of pictures, I did manage to get a couple in while at Marina City in the afternoon. The view from the rooftop of East Tower.

And, from upper 30's of Wacker and Dearborn.

While standing on the balcony, I caught the reflection of Marina City reflected in the Quaker building across the way.

Meanwhile, back at Daley Plaza... Daytime shots of the fountain taken yesterday.

It is such a weird green.

Thanks, Devyn! A bit of a preview for St. Paddy's Day.
Does the camera show the true color of the green at Daley Center, do you think? Seems a bit weak, and you did say it was a weird color.
Thanks, though! Loved the view from Marina!

Yeah, it is the true color. I think that because the water is spraying and all mixed up with air, it has "watered" down effect. The water in the pool, is dark and very green. The same thing happens with the orange dye in October.
